Range Rover has officially entered the electric era with the launch of its first electric vehicle combining the brand’s signature luxury and performance with zero-emission driving for fans of gargantuan British-made SUVs who are also concerned about the climate crisis.

It was due to be built in Solihull in 1970 with the vehicle coming with a significant price tag starting at £154,070. For Jaguar Land Rover company, the launch also provides a moment of positivity, after its reports of falling profits this year.

The company further clarified that it had given additional training to 10,500 staff working efficiently on the project and that the car had undergone testing equal to 38 trips around the world, more than any other Range Rover.

The model’s electric powertrain will minimize environmental impact compared with JLR’s petrol and diesel models. It has been observed that SUVs of their size are positively associated with elevated mortality rates involving pedestrians.

Nonetheless, Ranger Rover’s bespoke commissioning service means that buyers have a boundless color spectrum with bespoke finishes, a choice of an exhaustive palette of colors and textures, elevated materials, tailored colour combinations, and signature needlework.

The managing director of Range Rover, Martin Limpert further asserted that the vehicle was the “end product of a decade of considered engineering and technological development.”
