Director Meesam Naqvi’s appearance in the picture also fuels hopes of another collaboration among the familiar faces
Aashir Wajahat has fuelled speculation about a possible reunion of the Parwarish team after sharing a picture with fellow actors Samar Jafri and Abul Hassan, alongside the drama’s director, Syed Meesam Naqvi.
Captioned simply, “The boys”, the picture has prompted excitement among Pakistani drama fans, with many hoping the familiar faces are preparing to reunite for another television project.
The possibility of seeing the group work together again has particularly caught viewers’ attention given the success of Parwarish and the popularity of its young cast.
Fans were quick to flood the comments section with excitement, with one user expressing disbelief at the prospect of seeing the three actors together in a drama directed by Meesam.
“SAMAR, AASHIR, ABUL IN A DRAMA THAT TOO DIRECTED BY MEESAM SIR? WHAT COULD BE GREATER THAN THIS ???!!!!” one fan exclaimed.
Others were already imagining the possibilities of the cast, with one fan suggesting, “If you cast all of them together cast Aina too”, referring to Aina Asif, who starred alongside Jafri in Parwarish.
The reactions reflect the enthusiasm surrounding the possibility of another collaboration between the actors and director, although no new project has been officially announced.
Jafri and Hassan previously appeared together in the hit drama Parwarish, which premiered in April 2025. Directed by Naqvi and written by Kiran Siddiqui, the series explored generational differences, family pressures, identity and the challenges of growing up.
Jafri played Wali Jahangir, a young musician struggling to pursue his dreams amid family expectations, while Hassan portrayed Sameer. The drama resonated with younger audiences through its portrayal of family relationships and the pressures faced by young people.
Naqvi has also directed projects such as Mayi Ri and Parwarish, earning recognition for his work with young performers. Aashir, meanwhile, has another connection to the director, having appeared in the drama Kafeel as Subuk.
Beyond their professional collaborations, Wajahat and Jafri share a longstanding friendship that has become a favourite talking point among their followers.
The two have grown up in the entertainment industry together, building careers across acting and music. Their friendship has also translated into several creative collaborations, including the song Aaja Chal Jhoomay from the 2024 film Daghabaaz Dil and their appearance together in the Eid comedy Na Baligh Afraad.
Earlier this year, the duo teased their second musical collaboration, Tum Na Ho, with a nostalgic childhood photograph that offered fans a glimpse of how far the two friends had come together. Their musical partnership has continued to attract attention, with both artists discussing songwriting, music culture and their creative approaches in interviews.
