The All Pakistan Petrol Pumps Owners Association on Wednesday deferred its call for a nationwide strike after holding negotiations with the federal government.

The Petroleum Dealers Association has also supported the decision while addressing a news conference with Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik.

The petroleum dealers and pump owners had announced closing petrol pumps across the country for 24 hours starting Thursday morning at 6am until Friday 6am, in protest against the government’s policy of revising petroleum product prices on a daily basis.

This is a developing story and is being updated with more details.
