TV host explains her Eid absence, saying she is with her ailing father and asks fans for prayers
Television host Nadia Khan took to social media to share the emotional reason she was not with her family on Eid, revealing that her father is currently unwell and hospitalised.
She posted a video on Instagram in which she explained why fans did not see her customary Eid family pictures with her husband and children this year, sharing that she was spending the occasion in the hospital with her father.
The caption of her reel read: “My Eid with my Aba in hospital. It’s a blessing to be near him, hold his hand, and talk to him. My aba is my life. I’m grateful to Allah for every second I can spend with him. Papa’s girl always and forever.”
In the video, Nadia addressed her followers directly, saying: “You guys might be thinking why I haven’t posted any pictures with my family for Eid day 1. I am ready but in a simple way, but the reason I did not post with my family this Eid is because I could not be with them.”
She added that she was in Rawalpindi with her father: “I am with my father in Pindi. I am in the hospital and I thought why not let you all meet him.”
Nadia also introduced her father to her followers on camera, where he spoke from his hospital bed, saying: “My Eid has been made because my daughter is with me.”
Responding to him, she said, “May you get well soon and be able to come home so that we can celebrate.”
She further shared, “This Eid is for my dad. We are at peace spending time together and talking about old memories and new ones,” adding that he has many heartfelt stories to share.
Wishing followers on her father’s behalf, she said, “I want to wish everyone an Eid Mubarak. Praise God, I had a good one. May you all spend Eid like this.”
Social media users extended prayers for her father’s health, praising Khan for choosing to spend Eid by his side during his illness.
