Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, a notable attendee at Anant Ambani’s pre-wedding celebration, recently expressed his admiration for India’s wealthiest family, Mint reported.
In an Instagram post featuring himself, his girlfriend Paula Hurd, Mukesh Ambani, and Anant Ambani, Gates highlighted the warm ‘hospitality’ extended by Mukesh and Nita Ambani.
Gates, reflecting on his week in India, said: “As I reflect on the past week in India, one thing stands out: The incredible hospitality everyone showed Paula and me, especially from Mukesh and Nita at the beautiful celebration of their son Anant and his fiancée Radhika.”
Gates acknowledged the uniqueness of the experience as this was the first wedding celebration in India that he attended. In another post featuring Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani and his wife, Gates expressed gratitude for the opportunity to reconnect with old friends during the pre-wedding festivities.
The lavish three-day celebration of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Gujarat’s Jamnagar from 1-3 March drew attention from high-profile guests, including Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg, Rihanna, Indian billionaires Gautam Adani and Kumar Mangalam Birla, cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni, and Bollywood celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, and Katrina Kaif.
