Saudi Arabia is opening the first part of its Neom megacity project by the end of this year, Business Insider reported.

The island of Sinadalah will provide the first glimpse into the highly anticipated desert project which is part of Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman’s (MBS) 2030 vision.

As per the developers, the island will be an “exclusive gateway to the stunning Red Sea,” and they plan on catering to luxury clientele and the global yachting community.

The island will have three luxury hotels, a golf course, a sports club, a beach club, a marina and dozens of high-end shops and restaurants.

Recently, Neom’s “The Line” project has been making headlines after news broke out that The Line is not doing well due to financial constraints. And has been decided to scale down by 98.6%.

Earlier, The line was planned to cover an area of 170 kilometres and house at least 1.5 million people, but after cutting it down, now it will only be 2.4 kilometres with less than 30,000 residents.

As per reports, Neom officials have also been flying all over the world from the United States to China, to court new investors.

In January, Marriott International signed a contract to bring Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy to Sindalah, while Saudi music entertainment company, MDLBEAST has announced to manage the Sindalah Beach Club on the island.
