On Tuesday, SpaceX successfully launched another batch of its Starlink internet satellites. According to reports, a Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Florida’s Cape Canaveral Space Force Station at 11:58 a.m., deploying 29 communication satellites into low -Earth orbit.
The rocket’s final stage made an accurate touchdown in the Atlantic Ocean atop the Space’s droneship, marking the 18th flight of this specific designated booster B1085.
B1085 already has some crucial astronaut missions to achieve in the future. The booster launched SpaceX’s Crew-9 flight to the International Space Station in September 2024 and introduced the Fram2 mission around Earth’s poles.
Earlier, Musk has also proposed an idea to launch a million AI data center satellites to Earth orbit as well. It is crucial to note that the successful liftoff was the 93rd Falcon 9 launch of the year. On the contrary seventy-two of missions have been dedicated to building out Starlink.
Nonetheless, SpaceX seeks to achieve even bigger megaconstellations, operating 100,000 of its bigger and more capable Starlink V3 satellites in future.
