Multan Sultans has suffered a major setback as English fast bowler Reece Topley has been ruled out of the upcoming ninth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL).

The England Cricket Board (ECB) did not issue a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for Topley, citing a minor injury concern.

Topley recently participated in South Africa’s SA20 league, where his team, the Durban Super Giants, reached the final but encountered an injury setback during the championship match.

The absence of the NOC from the ECB has left Multan Sultans without the services of Topley, and they are yet to announce a replacement for the talented fast bowler.

Meanwhile, right-arm pacer Ihsanullah will also miss the entire tournament.

“PCB has informed us that Ihsanullah will miss the entire PSL,” Sultans’ owner Ali Tareen said in ‘Relukattay’ podcast.
