Google Meet enhances audio quality with Adaptive Audio. — Google

Google is all set to introduce new Google Meet feature that connects mics from multiple laptops for clearer audio.

The new Google Meet feature is known as “adaptive audio”. The feature is designed to enhance the audio quality of online meetings. The adaptive audio merges the speakers and microphones of multiple laptops in the same room.

Once the feature is put to use, you will no longer be required to crowd around a single device so that you are heard clearly. The new feature will address the issues of echo and feedback.

The new audio feature is particularly beneficial for small organisations and teams who do not have access to dedicated videoconferencing equipment.

With the new adaptive, Google offers teams greater flexibility to choose their meeting locations. Now, it is possible for you to hold meetings in places like cafes or lounges in case you do not have a traditional conference room available for you.

Google is set to gradually roll out this feature over the next few weeks to Google Workspace customers who have the Gemini Enterprise, Gemini Business, Gemini Education, Gemini Education Premium, and the AI Meetings and Messaging add-on.

Once the rollout is complete, users will have this feature by default, but they will have the option to manually turn it off if they so like.
