Bollywood icon Anushka Sharma made her much-awaited Cannes debut as the film festival wraps up. The star walked the red carpet in a gorgeous Richard Quinn cream creation. The actor looked breathtaking in a dress from the British designer’s Fall 2023 ready-to-wear collection.
The said creation comprises off-the-shoulder detailing statement 3-D florals on its shoulder. The look ticked all the right boxes as the cream-coloured embellished gown perfectly fit her curves and gave her an alluring sensual silhouette. Styled by Priyanka Kapadia, the actor accessorized minimally in dainty Chopard drop earrings and blingy baubles for the fingers and finished off with silver Gianvito Rossi heeled sandals.
For her makeup, Sharma opted for soft-peachy hues. The actor’s smoked-out eyes with a nude lip and a slick bun made for a killer combo on the red carpet.
While her first look was downright perfection, Sharma’s second look of the day didn’t really work. Donning an off-shoulder pink top with sequinned black culottes, the Sultan star paired it with chunky heels and statement jewels. Can’t say the look was memorable.
Indian representation was strong at the Cannes Film Festival last year as well, with Deepika Padukone leading the pack as a jury member. Other Indian attendees included actors Pooja Hegde, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Tamannaah Bhatia, Grammy-winning composers AR Rahman and Rickey Kej, and actor R Madhavan, whose film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect premiered at the festival. TV stars Hina Khan and Helly Shah were also present.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who is a veteran of the Cannes Film Festival, made back-to-back appearances at the event. In the past, Padukone, Sonam Kapoor, and other Indian celebrities have made a splash at the festival with their stunning red-carpet appearances.
