Actor appears to respond to criticism with playful Instagram captions, turning the remark into a joke
Hania Aamir appeared to respond to veteran actor Jia Ali’s criticism of her public persona with a tongue-in-cheek Instagram caption, turning Ali’s “out of control” remark into a joke of her own.
Ali recently appeared on a television programme where she was asked to choose between Hania and Dur-e-Fishan Saleem. While she picked Hania as her preferred actress, Ali also raised concerns about how the younger star conducts herself in the public eye.
“Hania Aamir but she has gotten out of control. Someone needs to tell her. She is the face of Pakistan so she should believe,” she said.
Describing Hania as “too out of control”, Ali suggested that the actor should be more mindful of where to draw the line. She also highlighted Hania’s prominence in Pakistan’s entertainment industry, referring to her as a “face of Pakistan”.
Hania appeared to respond to the comments with an Instagram post captioned, “Out of control hogai. shit”, seemingly poking fun at the criticism.
In the accompanying pictures, Hania is seen wearing dark long boots, bangs, a printed loose shirt and formal trousers as she poses for photographs in golden-hour lighting.
Fans quickly took to the comments to praise Hania’s response to the criticism, with several users applauding her caption.
One user wrote, “The caption game is so strong,” while another added, “Okay miss out of control, I see you.”
Hania appeared to continue the playful response in another post, sharing a video in the same outfit with the caption, “selective feminism, baap re baap”.
“Subtle shade to the aunty who said Hania should believe,” one user commented.
This is not the first time Hania has used an Instagram caption to weigh in on a controversy without directly naming the person involved. Just days earlier, the actor appeared to reference the backlash surrounding television host Nadia Khan’s comments about designer Parishae Adnan.
Khan had faced criticism over remarks made during an interview with Adnan, in which discussion of the designer’s international achievement shifted towards questions about her clothing and whether she had faced resistance from her family.
Hania appeared to reference the viral exchange with a caption reading, “papa ko kaise convince kiya kai nahi it’s fine mujhe yehi pehanna hai”, prompting social media users to connect her post with the controversy.
Hania is currently among Pakistan’s biggest television stars, having appeared in dramas including Mere Humsafar, Meri Zindagi Hai Tu and Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum. She has also starred in films including Janaan and Parwaaz Hai Junoon.
The exchange comes amid continued public interest in Hania’s outspoken and highly interactive social media presence. The actor frequently engages with followers and online discussions, often responding with humour rather than formal statements.
