WhatsApp is bringing a new feature through its latest update for its Android users by releasing an advanced chat privacy feature to limit message sharing.
The new feature will allow users to restrict media — photos, videos, voice messages, documents, etc — from being automatically saved on their devices, meaning that if a recipient receives media in a conversation with someone who has turned on this feature, those files will not be saved to their device gallery.
It is similar to the existing disappearing messages, and it now shows that the socialising app is working to extend it, and just as the disappearing messages feature, it is also optional. Users can decide whether to enable it in specific chats based on their preferences from the app settings.
By enabling this setting, users will also be able to gain greater control over their entire conversations that are shared, diminishing the risk of unauthorised chat exports and providing an added sense of security, specifically in conversations containing sensitive or private discussions.
