Film will be made with help of President Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act which was introduced in 2022
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is taking his talents to Hollywood, as it was recently revealed that the National Football League (NFL) star will be the executive producer on a forthcoming indie film with a little help from United States President Joe Biden.
Kelce, who bagged his third Super Bowl with the Chiefs, defeating the San Fransisco 49ers 25-22 in overtime and announced his return for a 12th season, is involved in the upcoming movie “My Dead Friend Zoe”, according to Variety.
The movie which is set to premiere on March 9 is described as a “dark comedy” starring actors Natalie Morales and Morgan Freeman alongside others and will mark Kelce’s first time working on a film.
The 34-year-old athlete who tallied nine catches for 93 yards in the Super Bowl already has plans to finance a Jean-Michel Basquiat documentary called “King Pleasure” with two more producers.
Both films will be made with the help of President Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act which was introduced in 2022.
The United States Department of Energy’s website says the Inflation Reduction Act is “the single largest investment in climate and energy in American history, enabling America to tackle the climate crisis, advancing environmental justice, securing America’s position as a world leader in domestic clean energy manufacturing.
The website also said that the Act puts the US on a “pathway to achieving the Biden-Harris Administration’s climate goals, including a net-zero economy by 2050.”
However, having Kelce’s name attached to the film will add to the potential reward, especially if fans of the Chiefs and fans of Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, decide to check it out.
