You can truly test your appetite for real-life, spin-chilling stuff in this the 8-part Netflix original documentary series that has defied injunction to run globally on the streamer. These are true stories of four Korean self-proclaimed prophets, who had unbelievably horrifying dark sides. Among others, it also features Christian Gospel Mission, known as Jesus Morning Star or JMS, which shares initials with its controversial leader Jeong Myeong-seok who currently awaits trial in Korea for sexually assaulting some of his female followers. The documentary follows the perspective of Maple, a survivor.

The first live global event in the history of Netflix where Chris Rock, the swaggering, charismatic, era-defining comedian addresses being slapped at the 94th Academy Awards. But as he goes about his constructions, some juicy and some not, one can’t help wondering if this whole show was engineered to address ‘the slap’! While Rock is a tad bland, uninspiring and regurgitative here, Netflix’s subtitling couldn’t keep pace with his delivery. Rock could be funnier and fresher, but watch this if you are interested in his version of the slap story.

After spending nearly two decades establishing herself across New York and Los Angeles independent music circles, Brooklyn artist Frankie Rose returns with a redefining new single, six years after the release of her last album Cage Tropical. The track from Rose’s forthcoming album Love as Projection offers synth-pop that’s retro and futuristic, and could be one of the best records of the year. While the album is a reintroduction of her iconic style, the track full of longing and euphoric nostalgia dazzles with thrilling synthesiser flourishes and her gleaming vocals.

First published in 1961, this revolutionary book by Joseph Heller is one of its kind. Set in the time of the World War II, from 1942 to 1944, it is the story of Captain John Yossarian, a US Air Force bombardier in the 256th squadron, assigned to bomb enemy posts in eastern France and Italy. The life-changing book which should be read at least once in a lifetime presents hilarious moments as well as some really terrifying war truths. It is thought-provoking book that examines all big questions of life.
