Saim Ayub hails Khawaja Nafay’s stellar performance

Pakistan cricketer Saim Ayub, has showered praise on Khawaja Nafay for his outstanding performance in PSL 9 match against Lahore Qalandars. 

Nafay’s remarkable unbeaten innings of 60 runs off just 31 balls left Saim in awe, prompting him to laud Nafay’s exceptional talent and skill.  

“Indeed, he is very talented. He also plays in Karachi with me. I have known him since childhood. He has played very good batting, I pray for him and I am very happy,” Saim said while speaking to media in Karachi.

Furthermore, Saim also discussed about his famous no-look shot.

“The no-look shot is a modern shot, everyone will try to play it because in T20 cricket, which is modern cricket, all these things are necessary because you have to play shots all over the ground,” he further added.

Saim recounted an incident during the match against Quetta Gladiators where he was involved in a run-out, with Babar Azam as his partner at the crease. Despite the crucial dismissal, Azam took responsibility and apologized to Saim.

“I was went after run-out, but later he (Babar Azam) he said sorry to me that I got out because of him, but I said there it happens, it’s part of the game, mistakes happen oftenly but we also support each other,” he concluded.
