Rupee hits all-time low of 207 in interbank market

KARACHI: The Pakistani rupee on Thursday maintained its downward streak and dropped to an all-time low of Rs207 in the interbank market during the intraday trade.

According to the details, the local currency posted fresh losses of 54 paisas against the dollar and is being traded at Rs207 in the interbank market.

A day earlier, the Pakistani rupee continued its downward slide against the US dollar as it depreciated over Rs1 in the interbank market during early morning trading.

According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the local currency shed Rs1.3 (or 0.63%) against the greenback to close at Rs206.46.
