Spanish football club Real Madrid Monday announced Kylian Mbappe as the first summer signing at the end of the season, a day after reports the French striker has signed a contract with Los Blancos.Â
The signing comes nearly a month after the former Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) forward announced that he was leaving the French club after seven years.Â
He said in a video message on X, on May 10: “It’s a lot of emotions, many years where I had the chance and a great honour to be a member of the biggest French club.”
Kylian Mbappe started his career with PSG in 2017 and was part of six league-winning campaigns.
The 25-year-old signed a contract on a free transfer to join Madrid as the PSG deal is set to expire on June 30.
