Australian diplomat congratulates PCB Chairman Naqvi on successful staging of flagship tournament, PSL
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi Monday expressed his desire for the Australian team to play a home series in Pakistan as he met Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan Neil Hawkins.
The PCB chairman met the diplomat at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, where he came on Naqvi’s invitation to watch a Pakistan Super League match between Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators.
During their interaction, the Australian diplomat congratulated PCB Chairman Naqvi on the successful staging of the flagship tournament. “The environment of Gaddafi Stadium adds more excitement for the [spectators].”
The PCB chief thanked the diplomat for coming to the stadium to witness the match on his invitation and told him that both — Pakistan and Australia — are cricket-loving nations.
“Cricket is a game of peace […] I wish for the Australian team to play a series in Pakistan,” Naqvi added.
