LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi on Sunday announced a reorganised national selection committee comprising seven members.
Speaking during a press conference in Lahore, Naqvi said that the committee will not have a chairman and all seven members will have equal powers.
Naqvi said that the decisions will now be implemented that are backed by the majority of the members, adding that the committee was formed by keeping in consideration various factors.
The selection committee will consist of former cricketers Mohammad Yousuf, Wahab Riaz, Abdul Razzaq and Asad Shafiq, said Naqvi, adding that head coach, captain and an analyst be the other members.
He added that there will be two to three coordinators but they will not have voting powers.
“This committee will decide every single decision from now on. They are our key players in the management who will make decisions and I am sure that they will give good results,” said the PCB chairman.
