A cricket match between Pakistan and India is a major event and with the T20 World Cup inching closer, cricket buffs are checking the ticket prices to witness the high-voltage clash.
Pakistan are slated to play their first match against the USA on June 6, followed by the much-anticipated clash between the arch-rivals in New York on June 9.Â
However, fans are disappointed over the high ticket prices for the Indo-Pak cricket battle as compared to the other matches.Â
A Diamond Club South ticket, for instance, is currently listed at an astonishing $10,000 with sales tax of $863 on International Cricket Council’s (ICC) website, making it worth more than Rs30 million.
Meanwhile, the Corner Club West seats are listed at $2,987.33 including sales tax which, when converted into Pakistani rupees, is over Rs0.8 million.Â
The ICC has listed the Premium Club Lounge tickets at $2715.75 including sales tax which is more than Rs0.7 million.
These exorbitant prices have angered the cricket fans who say that the ICC is exploiting public sentiment.
