KARACHI: Heavy rain drenched Karachi on Tuesday morning, breaking the spell of heat and humidity and bringing much-needed relief to residents.
Showers were reported across Shahrah-e-Faisal, Shah Faisal Colony, the airport and nearby residential areas.
Light rain fell in Malir Halt, Rafah-e-Aam and surrounding localities, while Surjani Town and Korangi also received rainfall.
The change in weather came as a breath of fresh air for residents after a spell of hot and humid conditions over the past two days.
For many in the city, the showers were no surprise, as the Met Office had already forecast isolated rainfall in Karachi over the coming days.
This is a developing story and is being updated with more details.
