World’s renowned entrepreneur and CEO of SpaceX Elon Musk has responded to a post on his social media platform X — formerly called Twitter — about ex-US President Donald Trump.

A user on X — which Elon Musk bought in October 2022 for $44 billion — wrote about the former president that “it’s time” for Trump to return to X.

Trump was prohibited from the social media platform after the January 6, 2021 riots in which his supporters stormed Capitol Hill on the false allegations of election rigging.

The San Francisco-based microblogging site reversed its decision to reinstate the 77-year-old’s account in November 2022, under Musk’s leadership, however, Trump did not release any posts until his fourth indictment in August last year.

The businessman-turned-politician uploaded his mugshot and wrote in the caption: “Election Interference, Never Surrender!”

While responding to the user’s post, the 52-year-old Musk replied Wednesday: “Yes.”

The comments come just a day after the Washington Post reported that the four-time indicted Trump offered the CEO of SpaceX to buy his social media platform Truth Social last summer but the deal was not closed.

The latest report regarding the exchanges of both businessmen revealed that they have been communicating more than was earlier known.

Last week, a New York Times report revealed that Trump and Musk met privately underlining financial strains on the former president’s White House bid compared to Democrats.

A considerable sum of money is being spent on the 77-year-old’s legal troubles.

Confirming his meeting with the CEO of X, Trump noted that he wasn’t sure if Musk would financially support his reelection.

The criminally charged former president said last week: “I’ve helped him; when I was president I, helped him. I’ve liked him. We obviously have opposing views on a minor subject called electric cars. I’m all for electric cars, but you have to have all the alternatives also.”

As the discussions increased about Musk pouring money into Trump’s campaign, the CEO of Tesla wrote on X that he is “not donating money to either candidate for US President.”
