The bourse opened under pressure on Wednesday, with the Pakistan Stock Exchange’s (PSX) benchmark KSE-100 Index slipping sharply in early trading. 

The index fell to an intraday low of 112,411.82 points, down 2,460.36 points, or -2.14% from the previous close of 114,872.18.

The day’s high of 114,066.12 still reflected a drop of 806.06 points, or -0.70%, indicating persistent selling pressure. The downward momentum follows a brief reprieve on Tuesday, when the index had gained 808.28 points to close in the green.
