After receiving a broadside from President Joe Biden and his campaign, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has refuted the claims of being broke, issuing fresh statements about his reelection financing and fraud bond.

Donald Trump — who is facing 91 criminal charges in four indictments — said Friday morning: “Through hard work, talent, and luck, I currently have almost five hundred million dollars in cash, a substantial amount of which I intended to use in my campaign for president.”

President Biden’s reelection campaign on Thursday ribbed former President Trump’s fundraising numbers, terming him “Broke Don” . “Not a Winning Campaign: Broke Don Hides in Basement,” the campaign wrote in an email. “Trump can’t raise money, isn’t campaigning, and is letting convicts and conspiracy theorists run his campaign.”

The 77-year-old businessman was directed last month by a New York to pay $355 million in a civil fraud case. Finding difficulties in submitting the bond, Trump’s lawyers said that they could not find any treasury-approved company to cover for him.

Trump recalling the judge’s decision, wrote on Truth Social: “The often overturned political hack judge on the rigged and corrupt A.G. case, where I have done nothing wrong, knew this, wanted to take it away from me, and that’s where and why he came up with the shocking number which, coupled with his crazy interest demand, is approximately $454,000,000.”

“I did nothing wrong except win an election in 2016 that I wasn’t expected to win, did even better in 2020, and now lead, by a lot, in 2024,” reiterating that he is being wronged.

“No trial, no jury, no crime, no victim, only a crooked judge and a corrupt, Trump-hating attorney general who takes her orders directly from the White House,” Trump said of Judge Engoron and District Attorney of New York Letitia James.

The former president has been under financial strain as a whopping $3 million was spent in January and the overall expense of legal troubles amount stands at over $55 million since early 2023.
