KARACHI: Pakistani endurance athlete Fauzia Hemani-Madhani has completed her fourth full Ironman Triathlon challenge, showcasing remarkable fitness and resilience at the Ironman Canada-Ottawa event held in Ottawa, Ontario.
Fauzia was among around 3,000 athletes who participated in the gruelling endurance race on August 2, 2026, which featured a 3.8-kilometre swim, a 180-kilometre cycling course and a 42.2-kilometre marathon run.
The Canada-based Pakistani athlete completed the full-distance challenge in 15 hours, 23 minutes and 35 seconds. She finished the swimming segment in one hour and 45 minutes, followed by the cycling course in seven hours and seven minutes, before completing the marathon run in six hours and 11 minutes.
The Ironman Canada-Ottawa course tested athletes across the Ottawa River, closed parkways and the city’s urban routes, with the race concluding near Parliament Hill.
Ironman is regarded as one of the toughest endurance sporting challenges in the world, requiring athletes to complete a combined distance of 226.3 kilometres across swimming, cycling and running disciplines.
Hemani-Madhani previously completed full Ironman events in 2021, 2024 and 2025, while she has also successfully finished five Half-Ironman challenges.
Her latest achievement adds another milestone to her endurance sports journey and highlights the growing presence of Pakistani athletes on international ultra-endurance platforms.
