Drama debuts with strong performances, blending politics, love, and resilience in a gripping first episode
New Pakistani Drama Leader, starring Kinza Hashmi and Ali Raza, premiered its first episode on March 28, 2026.
The entertainment provider released the trailer for the series 3 weeks back, which received positive remarks from fans, praising Kinza and Raza’s on-screen chemistry.
The drama is directed by Asad Mumtaz Malik and written by Radain Shah, under Momina Duraid Productions.
Premiering every Saturday and Sunday, the drama focuses on themes of politics, love, and resilience with a strong plot about standing against injustice.
Kinza plays Rubab, a character described as a woman of strength and pride whose heart is tested by political turmoil and love, alongside Raza, who plays Mansoor, a determined voice that stands against every challenge.
The production went on to share the best scene from the first episode, which premiered on Saturday.
Kinza also shared a poster for the drama, sharing that “Some stories aren’t just told… they make their own place. Can’t wait for you all to see this one”.
Her posts received positive comments from her fellow celebrity friends, including singer Talha Anjum and actresses Mansha Pasha and Saboor Aly.
With a promising start and strong audience response, Leader is already shaping up to be one of the most talked-about dramas of the season. Backed by a compelling storyline and brilliant acting from the on-screen couple Kinza and Raza, the series also plays on a relevant trope of socio-politics.
This is the first time we are seeing Kinza and Raza on-screen together. Hashmi is well-known for her dramas Ishq Tamasha (2018) and Ruposh (2022).
Meanwhile, Raza received praise for his roles in Meesni (2023) and Dastak (2025).
