ISLAMABAD:
Drama unfolded on social media as Pakistani actor Sarah Khan found herself at the centre of a storm after sharing a photo of her daughter, Alyana Falak, on Instagram.
The seemingly innocent image, depicting the toddler with cherries smeared all over her clothes, face, and floor, sparked a fierce backlash from critics.
Sarah Khan captioned the photo with “my cheeky baby” accompanied by cherry and heart emojis.
However, the post quickly went viral, drawing criticism from social media users who schooled the actress to teach her daughter proper eating manners.
One user commented, “We should teach our children not to waste food. Throwing food on the floor is disrespectful, especially when millions are starving.”
Another user added, “Sure, they are just kids, but it is the parent’s responsibility to teach them how to eat properly and not share such images on social media.”
Sarah Khan responded, questioning if it was reasonable to expect her two-year-old daughter to understand such concepts.
“Do you expect a two-year-old to eat like an adult?” she asked, expressing her frustration. “Please, let children be children.”
Following the backlash, Sarah Khan disabled comments on her post to prevent further criticism directed at her daughter.
