The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday announced the 15-member squad for the ICC Men’s Twenty20 World Cup 2024, one day ahead of the May 25 deadline.
The Babar Azam-led squad includes five fast bowlers, three wicketkeepers and four all-rounders.

However, reserves were not announced yet.
Of the 15 players, Abrar Ahmed, Azam Khan, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Saim Ayub and Usman Khan have been picked for their maiden T20 World Cup, while Mohammad Amir and Imad Wasim last appeared in the 2016 and 2021 tournaments, respectively. The other eight players participated in the 2022 event in Australia.
Pakistan are in Group A of the World Cup alongside arch-rivals India, Ireland, Canada and the USA.
The national side will play their first World Cup match on June 6 against the USA in Dallas. While, the most anticipated clash of titans between Pakistan and India will take place on June 9 (Sunday) in New York.
