Actor Mohib Mirza is set to make his television comeback with Express Entertainment’s Razia. The actor will join Mahira Khan, who is also returning to our TV screens yet again after the 2021 drama serial Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay, in the said show.
Mirza, who last starred in the 2021 horror show, Neeli Zinda Hai, made the announcement on social media. “An important story to tell,” the Ishrat: Made in China actor wrote. Earlier, the Raees actor had revealed her comeback project titled Razia with a BTS picture on Instagram.
Previously, Khan surprised her fans with a picture of her new character on the photo-sharing app. “Razia. Coming soon on Express Entertainment,” read her caption. The picture saw Khan sitting in an amusement park or a fair with her back towards the camera flaunting the colourful paranda in her hair.
The second picture featuring multi-coloured bangles revealed the project’s name. The project will start filming in June. Other details about the cast, release dates and the creative team are not known yet. From the looks of it, Khan may be playing a feisty Punjabi woman in the drama and fans are excited already!
Apart from that, Khan will be reuniting with Humayun Saeed in another project titled Aaj Rung Hai. Directed by Nadeem Baig and written by Zanjabeel Asim, the drama will see Khan and Saeed together on screen after Farhat Ishtiaq’s Bin Roye.
Khan was last seen in Bilal Lashari’s magnum opus The Legend of Maula Jatt alongside Fawad Khan, Gohar Rasheed, Hamza Ali Abbasi and Humaima Malick. The cult classic became the highest-grossing Pakistani film to date. Mirza was last seen in his feature film, Ishrat: Made in China last year.
